2021 Technological focus on container architecture

As a result of a fundamental technological decision made in 2016, all applications previously operated on the Websphere Application Server were migrated to container technology using the OpenShift application platform. This is also the case with the CCM system Serie M/.

Prehistory

In 2012, Raiffeisen Schweiz Genossenschaft opted for the Serie M/ from kühn & weyh for the construction of its new company-wide output management system. In several implementation steps, Raiffeisen’s existing solutions for document output were successively replaced by modules of the Serie M/ by the end of 2016.

The very high degree of functional coverage, the outstanding performance for centralized and decentralized processing as well as the modern Java EE architecture were decisive for the choice of supplier and product. The decision for kühn & weyh was preceded by a detailed proof of concept, with load and performance tests. With the Serie M/, Raiffeisen has a long-term and sustainable solution in the field of customer communication management after completion of the introduction – both for batch processing and for interactive document creation for approx. 8,500 users.
