Itzehoer Versicherung is a “mutual insurance association” with just under 500 employees and around 500,000 members. Numerous trusted agents represent the company in northern Germany, and more than 3,600 broker connections are maintained nationwide. Itzehoer covers motor vehicle, property, life and health insurance as well as company pension schemes. In addition, the company offers financial services such as financing, building society savings, fund savings, etc.
Task
Replacement of the in-house developed word processing system on the mainframe and automatic transfer of the modules. Introduction of an online word processing system with central processing of documents: control of the mail route, archiving, etc.
Solution
- Introduction of M/TEXT CS as a modern, Java-based text system for online word processing
- Installation of the central output management system M/OMS for processing documents created in the company and automatic output to the desired media such as postal route or archive
- Seamless integration into the client-server architecture
